Discovery Bar & Kitchen is a locally owned and operated restaurant and bar established in 2022. We believe in great food, bold flavors, and creating a space where everyone feels welcome. Located in central Chico, we offer a seasonal menu inspired by local ingredients and global comfort — from creative pub fare to chef-driven specials.
Kitchen
Everything we serve is made in-house. Our food isn’t fussy, just creative takes on the classics you already love. Our burgers stand up to the best around. Our build-your-own salads make for a quick, satisfying lunch. Our soups change with the seasons. And our entrées are dishes you won’t find on any other menu in town.
Bar
28 taps pouring craft beer, cider, kombucha, seltzers and even nitro coffee. A full wine list. A full bar with fun seasonal cocktails and plenty of non-alcoholic options. And every now and then, we break out the Jell-O shots.
Patio
Our big patio is built for a good time. There’s room for live music, a few rounds of cornhole, and BBQ oysters. We’ve even been known to roast a whole hog.
Events
Planning a party, meeting, or celebration? We’ve got the space — and the vibes. Our private event room fits up to 30 guests and is perfect for birthdays, showers, team gatherings, or any excuse to raise a glass.
